Hi, I’m Beth - an inveterate observer, lover of painting, photography, colors, textures, stories. I take inspiration from imperfect beauty - weathered, worn, rusted, swirling and turn it into evocative, expressive art.
Raised in Atlanta, I recently relocated to coastal South Carolina after living in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and New York City. I’m drawn to imperfect beauty and quiet details that often go unnoticed. The natural world inspires me, and I enjoy capturing rich textures created by nature, weather and time.
I embrace encaustic’s luminous depth and tactile aspect. Through layers of varying colors, I create richly textured paintings that reflect the organic qualities of my inspiration. I see art as an invitation to slow down and notice the extraordinary within the ordinary. Through my work, I hope to evoke emotion and encourage others to pause, look more closely, and discover the sublime in places they might otherwise overlook.
